The Antwerp-based artists Kevin Schuit (Aruba) and Ioana Ciora (Romania) launched badtime in 2020 as a multidisciplinary project that now encompasses a fully formed universe, where visual art and music are one language. Dark & DIY to the core, badtime exists left of the left-field. Together, Kevin and Ioana have composed, written, and visualised badtime’s inescapable raw energy; which Kevin powerfully delivers on stage to immerse the audience.badtime combines dark-wave, EBM and synth-punk into something unique that they describe as body-punk. Together, the duo casts a magnetic combination of jagged guitar stabs, pulsating bass lines, hypnotic synths, and sinister spells, all held together by an unapologetically rough around the edges ethos. Rather than providing escape, the badtime universe uses sound, image and movement as a form of anti-capitalist catharsis against the doom and monotony of everyday contemporary life.
